IN order to enable workers celebrate Christmas and New Year festivities, the Imo state governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has declared public holidays for workers in the employ of the state government from December 19 through January 5, 2015.
Okorocha who announced this in a special broadcast on Friday morning, wished workers and Imo people fruitful celebrations, adding that they should celebrate with moderation the birth of Jesus Christ and New Year.
Noting how endearing they are to his heart, the governor who had cancelled the briefing of categories of workers and the Youth- Must –Work people, said he would also identify with them. He used the opportunity to state all the achievements of his regime in the past three and half years.
