They were both in Big Brother Africa 2009 edition. Then, Kevin Chuwang Pam emerged winner. Now married to former Elizabeth Gupta, another BBA housemate, they speak about their marriage

When and how did you meet?

Kevin: We met in 2009 on the Big Brother Africa reality show.

When did you decide to marry her?

Kevin: I took the decision as soon as I stepped out to the real world looking at the need to be more responsible and focused. She was a perfect match to make my dreams come true. I would say I am the most favoured housemate that Big Brother has ever produced. I did not only win, I found fame, fortune and a life partner. What more can I ask for? My wife is the best thing to ever happen to me.

Elizabeth: His proposal shocked me because I felt it was too soon and we dated for only three months after BBA. Initially, I thought it was because of pressure from our fans and I wasn’t too sure he knew what he was doing. I kept asking if he really wanted to settle down after the fame or if we would just get into the marriage and get out.

Why did you agree to marry him?

Guests at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which took place last night in Accra witnessed a major surprise moment when Big Brother Africa – The Chase contestants Elikem Kumordzi and Pokello Naregot engaged on stage.

The Ghanaian/Zimbabwean couple popularly referred to as Polikem met during the 8th season of the popular reality show. They were on stage to present the award for Best Collabo of the Year when Elikem took a detour and got down on one knee to pop the question.

I DIDN’T HAVE SEX IN BBA HOUSE — BEVERLY

Beverly Osu, one of Nigeria’s representatives at the just concluded Big Brother The Chase, has said that contrary to the general assumption about what happened between her and fellow housemate, Angelo, while in the house, she never had sex both in the bathtub and under the duvet.

“Nothing happened between me and Angelo. I didn’t have sex in the house. Though there were awkward moments, we never had sex. I know what happened then between us but we never got down to have sex,” Beverly said while speaking at a media briefing in Lagos Thursday.

She disclosed that what happened between her and the South African housemate was real because she genuinely loved him.

“We talk everyday. He loves me and I still love him. I would get married to him if I had the chance,” said Beverly.

She said her 3-month stay in the Big Brother House was a lifetime experience and whatever people saw there was her real self with no pretence.

She said in spite of revelations concerning her lifestyle and that of her mother, she still got the backing of her mother who remains proud of her and her action while in the house.

Big Brother Africa's Ethiopian representative, Betty Aberra might be in trouble with Ethiopian law for public sex.
According to reports, some lawyers in her home country are getting set to sue the housemate because she had sex in the Big Brother house with fellow BBA housemate Bolt from Sierra Leon three days after the show began

According to a local radio show in Ethiopia called Ethiopikalink, if Betty is convicted, she could face up to six years in prison as it is an offense to have sex in public in the country.

The lawsuit is not the only thing Betty is facing since leaving the BBA House, she's also facing nationwide condemnation from groups who have asked the media and companies to boycott her

BBA THE CHASE: POKELLO’S FATHER SPEAKS ABOUT HER SEX TAPE

Pokello Nare’s father has spoken out publicly for the first time about his daughter’s sex-tape saying she did not have loose morals.

Retired Colonel George Nare, a farmer and miner in Esigodini said Pokello was a mature person who should not be judged by what she did in private. He said her daughter was enjoying herself in private with her boyfriend.

“The video footage was not meant for public consumption and the person who leaked it should be guilty of character assassination. My daughter has a strong personality and would not be weakened by that. She is a successful businesswoman,” said Rtd Col Nare.

The female rep is Ada Beverly Osu. She is a model and popular Lagos based video vixen. She was also briefly engaged to rapper 2shotz in 2011.

The guy is Melvin Oduah; a model, actor, 1st runner up Gulder Ultimate Search VI, and 1st runner up Mr Nigeria 2011

BIG BROTHER RETURNS WITH THE CHASE

TELEVION viewers across Africa are gearing up for the biggest reality show on the continent – the 8th edition of Big Brother Africa.

This year’s edition tagged: “The Chase” will feature 28 housemates from 14 countries and they will slug it out for 91 days in a bid. Up for grabs is a princely $300,000 cash prize and a one-way ticket to stardom.

Billed for inauguration May 26, the contest is ecpected to combine electrifying twists requiring housemates to use their charms and wits to outdo competitors. And setting the tone in line with the theme, the new season’s logo (the iconic Big Brother eye) has an enchanting gold dust finish with a dazzling diamond centre showcasing a glittering and slightly flirtatious feel with edgy gold plated lines.

THOUSANDS STORM LAGOS FOR BIG BROTHER AFRICA AUDITION

 Thousands of youth flew in to Lagos, Nigeria to take part in the four-day open auditions for shortlisted candidates in Nigeria for this year Big Brother Africa which held at the Protea Hotel Leadway, Maryland, Lagos.

Some of the participants flew in from United States, United Kingdom and other parts of the country just to take a shot at the auditions which ended yesterday.

One of the participants who simply called herself Catherine said she flew in from the United States where she is a student just to take part in the audition. “I don’t care about the distance. Apart from the money, I considered Big Brother a big platform for me to launch my showbiz career,” Kate told P.M.NEWS of her expectation.

She added that she is very optimistic of being chosen by the selection team. “I believe I got all it takes to be in the house and entertain Africa,” she said.

BBA SEASON 8 AUDITIONS HOLDS

Organisers of the annual Big Brother Africa reality TV show have announced that auditions for shortlisted candidates in Nigeria will take place at Protea Hotel Leadway, Lagos from Monday, March 11 through Thursday 14.

For applicants who were unable to enter online or submit the entry at the nearest MultiChoice office, the good news is that there is still an opportunity for them to enter through the open auditions on the same dates, venue and time.
