Blueprint alearnt from a dependable source that Amina Yakowa’s trip abroad last Friday “is to enable her to take a rest and have medical check-up following the trauma and grieving that followed the demise and internment of her late husband.”

Ahead of her departure last Friday, the former Kaduna first lady received the Deputy Governor of Kaduna state, Amb. Nuhu Audu Bajoga, who came to pay her a farewell visit at their Imam Close private residence in Kaduna.
Meanwhile, Dame Amina Yakowa has expressed her appreciation and that of her family to the chairman and members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) for their sympathy and support over the death of her husband, Sir Patrick Yakowa.
She said: “Your presence comforted us tremendously in our moment of grief, most especially your kind words about him and everything that he stood for.
“Though his death came as a massive shock to me and the children and indeed the many people that knew him, we have since come to terms with the fact that he has gone to rest with our Lord Jesus Christ.”
