Amidst the rumours of impeachment of Governor Murtala Nyako, Northern governors have intevened in the feud between Governor Murtala Nyako and members of Adamawa State House of Assembly.
Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso and that of Sokoto, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko on Monday flew to Yola reportedly at the instance of the majority of Northern governors to hold a closed door meeting with Nyako and the 25 members of the Adamawa State Assembly.
Wamakko’s plane was said to have turned back as it could not land due to weather problems.
The alliance between the speaker of the Assembly, Ahmad Umar Fintiri and Nyako had suddenly broken up after the All Progressives Congress (APC) state congress where Fintiri’s interest and those of some law makers were allegedly not protected.
Kwankwaso who told journalists after the meeting that he was in Yola to hold some bilateral discussions that would benefit the two states of Kano and Adamawa went further to say “the best of friends can have misunderstanding, when such things happen you discuss and resolve amicably”, he stated
